I typically don’t get political in this space, but this happening requires an exception. My father is in St. Paul Minnesota this week at the Republican National Convention. He is a John McCain delegate from the state of New York. My father actually served in the navy with McCain during Vietnam aboard the USS Oriskany.
This week while at the convention the Albany Times Union is doing a video blog, interview style, with him while he is in attendance. The introduction to my father is here. It ought to be interesting, especially in light of Hurricane Gustav stealing the spotlight from the convention.
I will say that my father and I respectfully disagree in matters dealing with politics.
