Being the father of 3 small boys (7 and under) I cannot help but cry reading this story. The courage and strength of Professor Pausch is remarkable. Expressing insight and wisdom with unwavering poise when faced with the end of life so prematurely is a testament to this man. I’m very sorry and very happy to read this story. Sorry for obvious reasons and happy because it makes me appreciate what I have on a daily basis—living life.
Randy Pausch set the tone early on yesterday at his farewell lecture at Carnegie Mellon University. “If I don’t seem as depressed or morose as I should be, sorry to disappoint you,” said Dr. Pausch, a 46-year-old computer science professor who has incurable pancreatic cancer.
